Walcot Hall was the amazing venue for Claire and Simon's awesome wedding.

It was the perfect Spring day...there was even a light covering of snow on the Shropshire Hills as we made our way to Walcot Hall in the morning to begin the coverage of the bridal preparations.

There was one lasting memory from the day...when you're hoping to catch the bouquet it helps that you're a former heptathlete who won a bronze medal at the 2004 Olympic Games, a bronze medal at the 2007 Athletics World Championships, and a gold medal at the 2006 Commonwealth Games!

Claire and Simon also have an athletics background. Simon competed as a high jumper in the 2014 Commonwealth Games and Claire also ran competitively. They actually met at a University sports event.

Another of Simon's talents...nearly everything that you see in the photos that's made of wood, including the table that the cake was on...he made in his workshop at home. Simon even made the sign above the door at Andy Li Photography / The Wedding Collective HQ.

It was great to see the very talented Mike Holloway and his band The HMV Band again.
